Today I have merged three (English, German and Slovak) versions of E-numbers app into one. Problematic was only to use different .html files in assets directory for different Locale of the device. Workaround was to assign each .html file a different name for different language and put the file path to a strings.xml for different locale like this webView.loadUrl(getResources().getString(R.string.URL));

In strings.xml I had to insert   values like this:

<string name=”URL”>file:///android_asset/enumbers.html</string>

where for different languages app uses different file name in asset directory. I hope it will help some new developers like me at Stackoverflow.com
